A position has arisen for a Permanent Head of Facilities within an established organisation situated in Oxfordshire. This role is responsible all FM operations across multiple buildings.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing all hard and soft facilities for the five sites
  • Overseeing all aspects of equipment maintenance and repair. including receiving and handling calls and complaint
  • Negotiating and managing services contracts
  • Contribution to the development and implementation of the Department's space strategy
  • Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plan and business continuation strategy
  • Liaising with external contractors and suppliers including those for construction, building services engineering, cleaning contracts, waste management, security, and relocation companies

The successful candidate should have:

  • You must be educated to degree level in a building service or engineering subject and/or an equivalent professional qualification
  • You must have significant experience of successfully line managing technical managers and supervisors responsible for a wide range of hard and soft services in a similar environment
  • You must have experience of setting and managing operational budgets over £1 million
