Controls Engineer - The Role:
? Review concept specifications for adherence to company standards, plant and high uptime process requirements
? Work with customer team, plant production, Industrial Engineering, Quality and Maintenance to optimise manufacturing processes and to support production breakdowns and working with maintenance engineers to resolve issues
? Ability to write and fault find PLC programs, Siemens S7, TIA and to modify supplied PLC programs to the best effect for the Plant
? To continuously improve control systems for cycle time and reliability
? To share knowledge, train and develop other support functions i.e. Maintenance Engineers
? To setting standards for programming logic on PLC and Robotic systems
? Maintain latest files on backup systems
? Work with nominated suppliers in detail to achieve an efficient maintainable process
Controls Engineer - The Person:
? HNC or Equivalent with Electronics/ Electrical or Engineering background
? 3-5 years' work experience in similar role
? Understanding of Production requirements, Siemens S7 and TIA PLC programs
? To communicate effectively at all levels
? Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
? Flexibility to travel as required and be on call at weekends
Located in the West Midlands, role would be commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Nuneaton, Tamworth etc.
