Are you looking for your next Science Teacher position starting the new academic year?

Randstad Education is looking for a passionate and charismatic Science Teacher to join a secondary school in the Penistone, South Yorkshire area on a full time basis starting September 2024.

The secondary school is looking for a Science Teacher with excellent knowledge and understanding of science and the GCSE curriculum and someone who can be a positive role model for the students. The schools' ethos wants their students and staff to believe, achieve and succeed in their academic and personal development.

To be successful in the Science Teacher role, you should:

  • (Must) Hold QTS qualification or equivalent.
  • (Must) Hold a science qualification.
  • (Must) Hold eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to process one through Randstad).
  • Previous experience teaching KS3/ KS4.
  • Previous experience teaching the science curriculum.
  • A passion for Science!
  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.

As a Science Teacher, you will be:

  • Creating and presenting inspiring science lessons.
  • Complete risk assessments and preparations for practicals.
  • Marking and assessing students' work.
  • Ensure students are working towards objectives and the science curriculum.
  • Manage the classroom to support all students' learning needs.
  • Build rapport with your students and other members of the science department.
