RJS Recruitment are currently seeking an Experienced Accounts Assistant/ Assistant Management Accountant in a full-time position for our well-respected Haulage company based in Ipswich.
Our client will consider candidates who have some experience and would desire ongoing training or a candidate who has extensive experience and who will be keen to progress and is open to taking on additional responsibilities as they develop in the role.
Minimum 1 year's experience is essential with AAT Level 2 desirable This position can offer the opportunity for the candidate to further their studies.
Skills:
Industry knowledge within container/transport advantageous
Previous accounting experience and an AAT Level 2 qualification as a minimum is desirable.
Highly organised individual with keen attention to detail.
Excellent IT skills including Excel
Sage Preferable but not essential
Truckcom Preferable but not essential
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable processing.
- Accounts Receivable processing.
- Credit control.
- Banking
- Payroll
- Cashflow
- Weekly Profit Reporting & Fuel Monitoring
- Quarterly VAT Returns
- Reconciling monthly P32 report and agreeing PAYE Payment
- Adhoc Accounts & Administration projects and duties as required
- Management Accounts processes
- Assisting with month end reporting.
This position operates over the standard working week of Monday - Friday, competitive salary offered based on experience and qualifications achieved.
Annual leave entitlement will be 28 days (including Bank Holidays) and inclusion within the company pension scheme.
Full-time hours: 37.5 hrs per week
