Academics Ltd are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work at a large 3 form entry school in Hayes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our teachers and enhancing the educational experience of pupils. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced TA looking to take the next step in their career or for an existing HLTA seeking a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Learning: Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals and groups. Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress.
- Teaching: Deliver lessons to whole classes during the teacher's planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time or in their absence.
- Inclusion: Support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to access the curriculum effectively.
- Classroom Management: Supervise and manage pupil behavior, promoting positive behavior strategies and ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with educational best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

HLTA qualification or equivalent.

Proven experience working as a TA/HLTA in a primary school setting.

Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to inspire and motivate pupils.

Desirable:

Experience working with children with SEND.

First Aid certification.

Relevant degree or additional qualifications in education.
