Waking Night Support Worker (MOBILE)

42 hours per week

4 on 4 off Shift pattern – 12-hour shifts

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Waking Night Support Worker within New Start's Adult Services division. This position offers great flexibility as you will be required to travel across our Liverpool services providing support and guidance to our in-house Waking Night Support Teams and Dispersed On-call service.

New Start is a family-run, not-for-profit organisation, providing residential and supported accommodation services for vulnerable adults, families, children, and young people. We deliver a diverse range of homelessness projects and temporary housing solutions, helping some of the most complex and disadvantaged groups across Merseyside.

Responsibilities as a Mobile Waking Night Support Worker will include:

  • Supporting residents during the night, and dealing with any incidents that may occur in accordance with policy
  • Completing health and safety checks
  • Overseeing the safety of residents and other staff members
  • Overseeing the security of the building
  • Abiding by Health and Safety regulations
  • Undertaking administrative tasks as required
  • Responding to emergencies as required
  • Being a visual presence across all our Liverpool services during each shift
  • Providing cover when required across our Liverpool services
  • Supporting Project Managers by completing administrative tasks including service inductions for new starters.

What we're looking for in our ideal Mobile Waking Night Support Worker:

  • Previous experience in a similar post, supporting outreach services or within a hostel setting (Essential)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Housing/Health and Social Care, or be working towards this qualification (Essential)
  • Ability to accurately record information e.g.case notes and support plans (Essential)
  • Experience of Mainstay (Desired)
  • The successful applicant must have a full, valid UK driving licence and own vehicle
