**Assistant Management Accountant / Liverpool based / Hybrid working pattern with flexibility & 25 days AL / Full Study Support / Up to £34,000
Reporting to: Management Accountant
As Assistant Management Accountant, you will be working in a team of 6 to support with the timely production of Monthly Management Accounts. The role is critical for providing insightful financial analysis to support with business decision-making and it will also entail aspects of Business Partnering, giving great exposure.
Key Duties:
- Assist with the preparation of month-end management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Support with year end duties.
- Variance analysis against budgets & forecasts.
- Analyse operational/project costs and liaise with Project Managers re spending against budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest process improvements to optimise business efficency
- KPI tracking
Skills Required:
- Part-qualified accountant ACCA / CIMA - actively working towards (not only exemptions)
- Good Excel skills
- Analytical with strong communication skills
- Ambitious to progress in the supportive environment offered
- Inquisitive with good business acumen
- Experience in month end duties (essential)
