Senior freight forwarder £30.000 - £40.000 Crawley based
DK Recruitment is hunting for a strong freight forwarder with a wealth of experience for our brand new client in Crawley. Our client is an incredibly succesful freight forwarder. They are delivering results with the best brands within the automotive industry, so need someone that can offer a strong service independently. You will manage shipments from start to finish, this includes customs and understands ATA carnet regulations.
You will be working with another member of the team, who will be able to ask advice regarding air & ocean freight. This role would be good for someone that wants to make a step up to a supervisor role.
All our clients shipments are time critical and of incredibly high value, a good understanding regarding this and being able to stay calm is essential.
An interest or understanding regarding the automotive industry would be a huge advantage.
Essential skills:
- Direct knowledge of freight forwarding and customs procedures
- Organised with a strong attention to detail
- Good communicator
- IT literate
- Team player
- Language skills beneficial, but not essential
