HR Administrator

I am recruiting for a well-established client based in South Essex within the manufacturing sector who are looking for a dynamic professional to join their HR team. The role of HR Administrator will support the day-to-day operational HR activities with direction from the experienced HR Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has a career interest in HR and provides the opportunity for training as part of the package.

Tasks include:

  • Creating and maintaining employee records
  • Processing starters / leavers / change flows and updating relevant spreadsheets
  • Allocation of payroll numbers
  • Set up non-PC user profiles on the intranet
  • Set up holiday planners for all new starters
  • Collate all returned new starter documents for passing to payroll
  • Requesting and responding to reference requests where applicable
  • Supporting the maintenance of personnel records for all staff
  • Collate Leavers information for payroll
  • Sending out exit interviews
  • Support and maintain accurate payroll processing records to provide efficient and effective input information to the Payroll Team
  • Support HR projects as required

Essential Experience, Skills and Specification

  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • An understanding of basic employment law
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage own workload
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines

You will ideally have 1 year's administrative experience within a similar job role and be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach. Excellent administrative and organisational skills with an ability to process a number of tasks simultaneously. Working accurately with attention to detail and a can-do attitude with the ability to forge professional relationships is key.

The candidate must be IT literate with a strong working knowledge of Word and Excel, confident communicator with an ability to deal with staff at all levels with written and spoken professionalism and commercially aware.

This permanent role is working on a full-time basis, 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday on site. Along with training, the role offers an excellent competitive benefits package to match.
