Security Officer

Exciting opportunity for experienced Security Officers in Dundee with Securitas! We're looking for two skilled individuals with around 5 years of security experience to cover core hours of 8 pm to 8 am on Monday to Friday, as well as 24 hours over the weekend, working an average of 42 hours a week.

As a seasoned Security Officer, your strong customer focus ensures a positive and secure environment. With excellent IT skills, you contribute to the efficiency of our operations, utilizing technology for effective security management. Your vigilance and awareness are key attributes, enhancing the overall security of the site.

Holding a driving license, you bring a level of mobility and versatility to the role, ensuring the effective coverage of core hours and weekend shifts.

About the Role

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site.
  • Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV.
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols.
  • Maintain all logbooks and records, ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.
  • Provide visitors with a positive experience.
  • Dealing with various emergency situations, including report writing and communicating with emergency services
  • Efficient reporting of loss, stolen and or vandalised equipment and/or property
  • Radio etiquette
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Manage multiple tasks
  • The ability to make good judgment and come to sensible conclusions
  • Able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion
  • Maintaining key register.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by Management.

Essential Skills

  • Full SIA Licence
  • Driving Licence (with access to own vehicle)
  • 5 years security experience
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A five-year check able employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
