SEN Tutor

We are seeking multiple dedicated SEN Tutors to provide tailored educational support to pupils in Leeds who are not currently attending school. Each pupil has an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan), which will guide the tuition provided. This role requires a compassionate individual with the relevant qualifications and experience to work with varying ages and levels.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs and goals, as outlined in each pupil's EHCP.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to the pupil's education.
- Create a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages pupils to participate and achieve their potential.
- Maintain up-to-date records of pupils' progress, attendance, and any other relevant information.
- Be flexible in scheduling and adapting to the needs of each case, with the ability to travel within the local area if necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience in special educational needs.
- Proven track record of working with pupils who have various SEN requirements.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and how to adapt it to meet the needs of SEN pupils.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage pupils and build rapport.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting SEN pupils in their education.
- Flexibility in working hours and teaching approach, with a willingness to travel within the local area.
