Our Director of Advocacy and Opportunities is critical to this work. This position reports to the CEO and is part of a senior leadership team of four. The post-holder will lead impactful initiatives to enrich the student experence, assumes senior-level responsibility for our extremely well-respected Advice & Support provision, our impactful Insight function, a societies function that offers on-campus opportunities for social capital building and skills development for more than 15,000 students, a student representation system that is met with energy and enthusiasm across the University and the Union's innovative democratic systems, with a ground-breaking Elected Officer model as its focal point. Our innovative, high performing and energetic staff team are committed to working dynamically by being responsive to students,excellent in our impact,inclusive in our work,collaborative in our approach&where our students are.

We are ideally seeking a passionate leader with experience of managing and mentoring high performing staff within a similar education, youth or membership led charity environment, however we welcome applicants from a wide range of sectors and backgrounds that have the attributes and experience to excel in the role. You will have the ability to strategically analyse services and identify developments needed to drive engagement and effectiveness and will possess the personal and professional credibility needed to influence senior level stakeholders both internally and externally. This role is ideal for someone stepping into their first senior management position and we welcome all applicants that have managed teams in previous roles.
