What you'll do:

As a Credit Control Specialist, you will play an integral role in managing a diverse portfolio of client accounts. Your primary focus will be on achieving monthly cash collection targets while also prioritising debt collection based on value and client payment profiles. You will maintain comprehensive records of account activities and collaborate with colleagues across the business to resolve invoicing queries. Your ability to identify trends and escalate issues will be crucial in reducing ongoing queries or errors. Additionally, you will provide superior professional service to clients, ensuring accurate reconciliation and proactive chasing of client accounts.

  • Achieve monthly cash collection targets through proactive and overdue credit control using various communication methods with passion
  • Prioritise collection of debt by value and client payment profile, ensuring contact is made within insurance policy requirements with diligence
  • Maintain comprehensive records of account activity and monitor daily cash received for accurate reporting with precision
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues across the business to resolve invoicing queries and process credit notes promptly with cooperation
  • Identify trends and escalate appropriately to reduce ongoing queries or errors with keen observation
  • Process self-billing invoices within strict timescales, ensuring attention to detail with meticulousness
  • Provide superior professional service to clients in all interactions, including accurate reconciliation and proactive chasing of client accounts on both billed and unbilled debt with empathy
  • Ensure cash receipts are accurately forecasted/allocated and unallocated items are monitored, chased, and cleared with responsibility

What you bring:

  • Proven track record in a similar position within a large B2B organisation with enthusiasm
  • Experience working towards targets and deadlines along with the ability to effectively prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment with energy
  • Comprehensive Microsoft Office experience including intermediate level Excel skills with proficiency
  • Process-driven with the ability to identify improvements and opportunities with creativity
  • High degree of organisational skills with the ability to multitask and produce high-quality results within tight deadlines with dedication
  • Excellent communicator with effective negotiation skills who can liaise at all levels with empathy
  • Ability to form relationships with clients, leaving a positive impression of the business while ensuring cash collection with commitment
