Paint Line Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Line Maintenance Technician to join our client's team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our paint line equipment, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to the success of our manufacturing processes.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on paint line equipment, including 6 axis robots, conveyor systems, air replacement systems, gas burners, compressors, and jig tooling.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment issues, maintaining detailed maintenance records and logs.
  • Quickly identify and repair mechanical and electrical faults in paint line machinery, working with the maintenance team to resolve equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new paint line equipment, implementing upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections and audits.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, supporting PDCA, Kaizen, and plant improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with production, quality control, and engineering teams to ensure optimal paint line performance, providing training and guidance to operators and other maintenance staff as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • NVQ or equivalent maintenance technician certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Experience with paint or coatings application processes and equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
