Project Manager - Strategic Alliances

Overview:

A global law firm are seeking a Strategic Alliances Project Manager within their Business Transformation Team. This key role involves collaborating with senior partners and leading international projects aimed at establishing strategic alliances in Spain, Italy, and the US. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled project manager to shape the future of their global partnerships.

This role will suit a Project Manager who is a strategic communicator with experience juggling mutliple plates, building alliances globally whilst having the ability to challenge senior stakeholders with the overall goal of providing a seamless client experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, producing concise and comprehensive documentation.
  • Project Management: Develop detailed project plans, manage issues and risks, and ensure the delivery of key tasks and targeted benefits.
  • Budget Management: Formulate project budgets, approve expenditures, and monitor spending in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Progress Tracking: Establish key performance data reporting systems to provide regular analysis and updates to stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate project teams to achieve objectives and adhere to schedules.
  • Strategic Communication: Deliver clear and effective communication at all levels, including detailed reports and verbal updates on project performance, risks, and issues.
  • Framework Utilization: Implement our Change Delivery Framework and project management tools at each project stage.
  • Relationship Building: Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the Business Transformation team positively across the firm and beyond.

Requirements:

  • Global Strategic Alliances: 5-10 years of experience in managing projects focused on building strategic alliances on a global scale, particularly in regions such as Spain, Italy, and the US.
  • Strategic Communicator: Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and effectively to senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, leveraging these connections to drive project success.
  • Challenging Stakeholders: Confident in challenging and holding senior stakeholders accountable to ensure project progress and delivery.
  • Business Facing: Highly business-oriented, with the ability to understand and address business needs and objectives.
  • Project Management Expertise: Solid understanding of project management methodologies and practices, with the ability to plan projects, articulate deliverables, and provide regular status updates.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with excellent time management, capable of managing multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
  • Industry Knowledge: Desirable but not essential - experience in the business of law firms.
