Project Manager - Contractor

We are looking to recruit a project manager on a contractor basis for approximately 3-4 months. This position is a hybrid role with a requirement to work between our Warrington HQ and Blackpool Office

As a Project Manager,you will oversee the delivery and implementation of our new comprehensive Accountancy platform inlinewith our strategy of implementation this will include the co-ordination of releases, management of acceptance criteria, governance of the implementation and articulation of keys risks.

It is vital that you thrive in a fast-paced unstructured change environment, can work at pace to deliver results, and have a positive attitude to life and work, having the desire to deliver andwork hard to do so.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Project planning, defining the outcomes and how they will be achieved, by who and by when
  • Risk, issue and dependency management
  • Ensuring outcomes are delivered to the appropriate standard
  • Motivating the project teams, encouraging ownership and driving best practice
  • Co-ordination of work, including ensuring alignment with other project managers and key stakeholders, some of whom are within external partners
  • Ensure projects run on time and to budget
  • Controlling change requests affecting project deliverables as and when necessary
  • Ensuring that projects deliver the expected outcomes and benefits
  • Lead on transition management, ensuring that business as usual is maintained during the transition and the changes are effectively integrated into the business
  • Preparing affected business areas for transition to new ways of working

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Demonstrable track record of successful project deliveryacross multiple platforms
  • A strong relationship builder who can adapt their style to influence and ultimately deliver results through others
  • An excellent communicator with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, results-driven with a collaborative, supportive approach
  • Experience of working at the strategic levels of an organization with senior leadership
  • Experience of working in a regulatory / compliance-based industry would be desired
