QHSE Manager (Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental)

Our client, a global leader in additive solutions for consumer and industrial goods, is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Manager to join their team in Cheshire. This pivotal role is permanent and offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to ensure the highest standards of environmental, health, safety, and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of EHS and quality management systems to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve superior health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
  • Ensure all accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformities are reported and investigated in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of accidents, incidents, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Create, review, and manage necessary EHS documents, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH assessments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the business unit's EHS and quality performance.
  • Conduct internal EHS audits and support external audit programs to ensure compliance and readiness.
  • Lead and facilitate regular HSE meetings and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including site safety representatives.
  • Develop and deliver EHS communication materials, such as Toolbox Talks and Safety Alerts.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a quality management or EHS role within a manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent qualification (desirable, with further training and development opportunities available).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and continuous improvement.
