South Yorkshire with National Travel

Hybrid - 2 days work from home, 3 days onsite and travelling to sites Nationally

Are you a commercially focused HR BP with experience working in unionised blue collar environments?

Do have experience managing complex TUPE processes both in and out?

I am working with a large, complex, unionised business to support them in sourcing a brand new HR Business Partner into their growing HR function. This organisation have c2000-3000 employees and operate a HR centre of excellence. They are a highly commercial organisation, introducing a true Business Partnering model.

This role will be a mixture of hands on operational HR support and strategic people planning. You will be working with the COO and your senior stakeholders to deliver localised people plans considering workforce planning and talent management to feed into their wider commercial plan and drive buy-in and engagement with broader HR initiatives. Whilst there is a centralised ER team, you will lend a hand on anything particularly complex or high risk across your business areas. TUPE is also a key focus of this role as it's a constant recurrence and requires someone who is able to run complex TUPE processes in their sleep.

So, what's the role?

  • Partnering senior stakeholders across a National business, including the COO
  • Design and deliver localised people plans for your business units to support them in achieving their overall commercial objectives
  • Working within a heavily unionised environment
  • Managing complex TUPE processes on a regular basis both in and out
  • Driving engagement with workforce planning processes, talent cycles and employee engagement surveys at site level
  • Managing any complex or high risk Employee Relations cases
  • Engaging with the wider HR centre of excellence to collate and feed in information to drive collaboration and cohesion across the HR offering
  • Travel to National sites to support senior stakeholders
