UK Based, hybrid working, £100K - £120K salary (dependent upon experience), plus bonus and excellent corporate benefits

Our client are a leading global Investor with a variety of diverse global infrastructure investments. They now seek an experienced PFI Commercial Director (or equivalent) to assist them with the management of one of their key infrastructure investments.

As Commercial Director you will provide both strategic direction and day-to-day management of the commercial operation of a high-profile infrastructure asset.

Reporting into the CEO, the main responsibilities are:

  • Act as the Commercial lead for the board, identifying and reporting on all commercial issues to the board, shareholders and key stakeholders.
  • Lead on the strategic risk management for the organisation, ensuring strategic plans are aligned with financial and commercial objectives.
  • Monitor key sub-contracts and the relationship with sub-contractors, reporting on performance to the board, identifying commercial risk and proposing mitigation as necessary.
  • Monitor and review supply chain performance, driving innovation and managing risk.
  • Lead the commercial financial modelling provision, developing financial models to determine the best commercial outcomes and support strategic decision making.
  • Review the commercial financial arrangements, determining opportunities for refinancing or alternative financial options, developing the relevant business cases and managing through to conclusion.
  • Ensure controls and processes are in place and operating effectively to protect the commercial interests of the organisation. This includes maximizing value, ensuring commercial obligations are met, identifying and managing risks, establishing priorities and allocating appropriate resources.
  • Lead the preparation, drafting and revision of all commercial documentation, contracts and agreements.
  • Lead commercial meetings with key stakeholders, preparing monthly reporting and presenting findings to a wide range of interested parties.
  • Be a strong team player able to manage and motivate people and communicate effectively both a Board level and at Team level.

Successful applicants will have a highly commercial and financial skill-set. Ideally you will have an accountancy background (private practice or in-house in a commercial field) and have worked within a commercial finance, investment asset management, concessionaire or sponsor environment.
