Art Teacher - 3 Days a Week

We are inviting enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teachers to join various secondary schools in Surrey. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about art and eager to inspire creativity and appreciation for the visual arts among students.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan and deliver stimulating art lessons that engage students and foster their artistic skills and knowledge.
  • Develop lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Regularly assess and evaluate student work, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum and enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and potential areas for further development.
  • Coordinate and manage art displays, exhibitions, and other events that showcase student artwork.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in art education.
  • Experience teaching art at the secondary level is preferred.
  • A strong foundation in art history, theory, and a variety of artistic techniques.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to differentiate instruction.
  • A passion for the arts and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
