Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver stimulating art lessons that engage students and foster their artistic skills and knowledge.
- Develop lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Regularly assess and evaluate student work, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum and enhance the overall educational experience.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and potential areas for further development.
- Coordinate and manage art displays, exhibitions, and other events that showcase student artwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in art education.
- Experience teaching art at the secondary level is preferred.
- A strong foundation in art history, theory, and a variety of artistic techniques.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to differentiate instruction.
