The firm is seeking a Senior Trusts and Probate Fee-Earner with a minimum of 3 years of PQE. Experience in managing a diverse caseload, particularly involving estates, trusts, and intestacy matters, is crucial. STEP membership or the willingness to work towards this qualification is advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will be confident in handling everything from smaller, non-taxable estates to complex taxable estates involving inheritance tax, offering tailored advice on trusts and tax planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of estates, including taxable and non-taxable estates, with a particular focus on Inheritance Tax matters.
  • Advise clients on trusts, including the creation and administration of Life Interest and Discretionary Trusts both during the client's lifetime and post-death.
  • Handle cases of intestacy, guiding clients through the required legal processes.
  • Provide comprehensive advice on tax relief, estate planning, and trusts, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with clients from diverse backgrounds, maintaining a sensitive, empathetic approach, particularly during emotionally challenging circumstances such as probate and lasting powers of attorney matters.
