Commercial Analyst role within a high-growth Private Equity backed organisation offering long-term career progression and a chance to deliver significant strategic business impact.

Following recent Private Equity investment the group has embarked on an ambitious expansion strategy involving organic growth and acquisitions across all business areas both in the UK and Internationally.
The Opportunity
This is a newly created role as a Commercial Analyst within the Performance & Insights Analyst team designed to assist stakeholders and their teams to find and exploit the best commercial opportunities most effectively. As a Commercial Analyst you will analyse large datasets to draw out the important insights and present relevant information in a style / format that enables senior stakeholders from across the Group to put these insights into action.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Working closely with stakeholders across the business to analyse, identify and drive improvements.
- Responsible for owning daily, weekly and monthly reporting on performance vs plans and providing regular updates and insights to stakeholders on a wide range of topics.
- Ensuring data is captured effectively, along with identifying gaps and efficiencies.
- Working proactively with stakeholders in the business to make improvements based on these insights, presenting data in a way that's easy to understand & suggesting actions to drive better outcomes.
- Providing analysis and modelling to support strategic decision-making.
- Enacting a continuous improvement ethos, enhancing and streamlining Management Information as the Group grows and expands.

The Person
You will be an experienced Analyst capable of meeting the following criteria:
- At least 2 - 3 Analytical experience in a commercial / business environment
- An inquisitive nature, good business acumen and a desire to find new insights through data analysis
- An ability to simplify complexity and draw out what really matters.
- Good demonstrable numerical and excel experience - this could be from a degree or previous experience as an Analyst.
- SQL / Power BI is preferred and / or aptitude and enthusiasm to learn independently.
- Excellent communication skills are a must as you'll need to build relationships across the business.
- A positive "can do" attitude is essential as is the ability and desire to work collaboratively across different teams.
