Field Service Engineer - Switchge

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our products at customer sites. You will act as a key liaison between the company and our clients, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and meets quality standards. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs on low and medium voltage switchgear systems.
  • Conduct functional and insulation testing, including primary and secondary injection testing of protection relays and circuit breakers.
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions, both remotely and on-site.
  • Ensure all service and maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Generate detailed service reports, test documentation, and customer feedback records.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams for product improvements and feedback.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a professional service image on customer sites.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar field service or electrical commissioning role, ideally in switchgear or power systems.
  • Strong knowledge of switchgear systems, protection relays (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider, etc.), and power distribution principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment and protocols.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or emergency call-outs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work independently in the field.
