Learning and Organisational Development Trainer 6-month fixed term

Reed Human Resources are looking for a Learning & Development Trainer

Working within this public sector client, you will be required

To manage and deliver Organisational Development and Talent training programmes and interventions

To contribute to the strategic direction and development of training to support organisational and departmental development plans.

To equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to enable them to fulfil their potential within the organisation.

Your Main Duties & Responsibilities will be as follows:

1. To manage the planning, design, implementation, and delivery using a blended approach for Learning and Development requirements for the delivery of training interventions

2. To curate content for Learning on-line tool

3. To facilitate Learning and Development interventions/workshops for individuals and teams

4. To liaise with departments and managers to determine training needs

5. To amend and revise training programmes as and when necessary to support change in the work environment

6. To keep up to date with new Learning and Development technologies and methodologies and use this knowledge to inform the development of training interventions and events

7. To conduct evaluation of all Learning and Development interventions to assess return on investment and identify areas of improvement

8. To support the setting up of all training rooms in readiness for trainers and delegates and generally cover all associated work as required.

9. Actively seek to implement the organisation's Occupational Health and Safety Policy in relation to the duties of the post, and at all times give due regard to the health and safety of both themselves and others when carrying out their duties.

Professional Qualifications / Relevant Education & Training:

  • Minimum Post Graduate Certificate in Education or CIPD Certificate in Training Practice or equivalent (A, I)
  • Up to date knowledge of Learning and Development methodology (I, A)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft office and desirable in Dreamweaver or Adobe editing suite (A, I)
  • Experience in working with IT systems and AV equipment (A, I, T)

Experience Required

  • Experience of designing, developing, and delivering Learning and Development interventions primarily for the development of people managers (I, A, T)
  • Experience of developing and delivering workshops and team interventions programmes utilising a variety of delivery methods, face to face, virtual and Hybrid (A, I)
