Planning Coordinator

As Production Planning Coordinator you'll be at the heart of operations, working closely with the External Contracting Team Leader to ensure smooth and successful execution of all planned work. You'll coordinate both in-house and subcontracted teams, ensuring everyone is in sync and ready to deliver exceptional service to our customers. This role is based in our clients friendly office environment, where teamwork and continuous improvement are our priorities. You'll have the chance to make a real difference while working alongside supportive colleagues who are dedicated to delivering top-notch results.

What you'll be doing:

  • Planning: Schedule and coordinate all in-house and subcontractor field teams
  • Customer Relations: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer queries and concerns, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Collaboration: Support and collaborate with team members and provide cover as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Allocation: Coordinate site allocations in collaboration with the Production Manager to optimise resource utilisation.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, surveyors, and key customers to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Communication: Keep the Office Manager informed of any issues or progress updates related to ongoing projects.

What you'll need:

  • Experience: Previous coordination or planning experience, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proficient in: Microsoft Office suite and other relevant planning software.
  • Self-Management: Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage workload effectively.
  • Agility: Capable of working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities to achieve desired results.
  • Demonstrated ability to: maintain accuracy and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with team members and provide support as needed.
  • Tenacity: High energy and enthusiasm to overcome challenges and make effective decisions.
