Join a market-leading software house in the broadcast industry who are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to extend and optimise their Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps automation tooling and approach. This role is fully remote with 1 team day per month in London.

The Engineering team has built their DevOps approach over the last few years and has deep knowledge of containerisation and Cloud platforms you can draw upon. As the first dedicated DevOps hire managing the day-to-day operations and tooling, you'll have a unique opportunity to shape their DevOps landscape whilst collaborating with their IT Director and Engineering team. Primarily AWS-focused, you'll also work with hybrid and air-gapped on-premise Linux environments depending upon customer requirements. They currently have multiple different deployment models and part of your role will be to help standardise processes, optimise tooling, and enhance their Cloud Infrastructure across their diverse customer base.

This role will suit a Mid-level DevOps Engineer with 3 years of experience and good fundamental knowledge and is now ready to put that into practice in a role where you can grow and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extend and optimise AWS cloud platforms
  • Improve deployment models for cloud, hybrid, and air-gapped environments
  • Enhance infrastructure automation
  • Optimise CI/CD pipelines
  • Advance their containerisation strategy

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years of commercial DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure experience
  • Proficiency in AWS services (SNS, SQS, ECS, RDS, S3, ElastiCache, EC2)
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure (On-prem Linux and AWS)
  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes (ECS or EKS)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code skills (Terraform)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems
  • Pragmatic approach to using the best tool for the job.
  • Excellent documentation and collaboration skills

Bonus Points:

  • Working in a .NET and Angular.JS environment
  • CI/CD optimization expertise
  • Platform Engineering / DevEx background
