Electro-Mechanical Engineer

  • Annual Salary: £35k - £40k (inclusive of "flexibility allowance" DOE)

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team at a leading global company in the financial sector. The role involves planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repair of Production equipment within a secure environment. The successful candidate will be the sole representative of our company on the sites, providing customer-facing services and working independently.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Conduct servicing and planned maintenance of Production equipment.
  • Respond to reactive repair needs of Production equipment.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Perform fault finding and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure effective hand-over of repaired equipment to Production Operators.
  • Manage stock and complete all associated administrative duties such as repair logs and stock movements to a high standard.
  • Adhere to manufacturer's specifications and regulatory body guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Formal Electrical/Mechanical qualification is desired.
  • Experience in fault finding on electrical circuits, including single-phase HV kit.
  • Essential mechanical maintenance experience (motors, gears, encoders, bearings, clutches, etc.).
  • In-depth control systems knowledge and understanding are highly desirable.
  • Computer literacy – proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word etc. Knowledge of DOS would be advantageous but not essential.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a comprehensive referencing process which includes checks such as Passport and Identification, Right to Work in the UK, Qualification and Education, Previous Employment History, Financial Sanctions and Terrorist Checks, Criminal Records, Financial/Credit Checks, Anti-Money Laundering Search, Residential Verification, Directorship Checks, Employment/Activity Verification, Media/Internet Search, National Insurance/Social Security Checks, and Driving Licence Checks. This process can take between 3 – 6 weeks.
