Production Manager- FMCG Manufacturing

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will oversee a team of shift managers across multiple manufacturing disciplines to ensure smooth site operations. Your primary focus will be meeting customer expectations by ensuring efficiency withing the production facility.

Description

  • Upholding high standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in accordance with Operating Requirements.
  • Managing the site's labor budget by adhering to core staffing levels and minimizing costs where possible.
  • Collaborating with QESH to maintain and improve the site's Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements for product safety, quality, environment, and personnel, and continuously improving these standards.
  • Growing, developing, and engaging your team through performance management processes, including cultivating a pipeline of future talent.
  • Being fully accountable for achieving line utilization targets and production schedules.
  • Demonstrating commercial acumen to create and manage the budget, ensuring optimal use of all available resources.
  • Controlling, reducing, and improving line wastage, raw material, and syrup usage.
  • Enhancing operational excellence through effective site routines, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decisions.
  • Efficiently executing the maintenance plan and managing all planned and unplanned events to optimize line performance and production costs through the shift management teams.
  • Fostering a culture of safety by leading and promoting safe working practices.
  • Leading by example and consistently applying Continuous Improvement behaviors.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree educated or equivalent is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a food or beverage manufacturing operations role within the UK.
  • 5+ years of Leadership/People management experience within food or beverage manufacturing.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of food production equipment and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with working in a BRC or equivalent audited environment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, with a talent for managing and motivating a team.
  • Strong analytical skills for developing and monitoring production KPIs.
  • Strong background in Continious Improvement, Skill Gap Analysis, Lean 6 sigma methodologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
