IT Administrator – Belfast – Temporary - £15.56 per hour

REED Technology are delighted too partner with an excellent educational organisation who require an IT administrator to join their team on a temporary ongoing basis.

Working as part of the Digital and Technical Services team you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of a variety of MS SharePoint and MS Teams sites. Including the use of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Automate (Workflows & connectors), Power Bi and Purview).

The post holder will be a practical person who will be able to assist with the migration of on-site data to MS SharePoint/Teams sites as required as well as other tasks. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Access, including queries, forms, and reports, is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage the migration of on-site data to the company SharePoint and Teams platforms (note that some migration has already taken place).
  • Co-ordinate the migration process and action plan with other members of the team where applicable.
  • Liaise with Department Managers and subsequent teams to ensure migration is completed accurately.
  • Liaise with Department Managers and subsequent teams to build an accurate and useable Retention and Disposal Schedule.
  • Continue with the setup of the Disposal and Retention Schedule including the use of Purview as required.
  • Support and extend (if required) the Power Automate Flows already in place.
  • Provide extended functionality to existing SharePoint Admin and Sites.
  • Ensure data migration process is compliant with GDPR and DPA.
  • Post migration, resolve user inquiries and technical problems related to MS Teams, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Update and support of Microsoft Access databases, including queries, forms, and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with IT colleagues to refine and develop processes within College procedures and data capture/reporting.
  • Provide technical advice on the current set up of information systems and/or assisting with producing information and data reports to assist colleagues in management reporting.
  • Provide documentation recording the development, updating of the College's SharePoint site and Power Apps.
  • Take ownership of own workload with the initiative to handle assigned projects and associated helpdesk tickets and other duties within agreed timescales.
  • Participate in internal Digital and Technical Services Team meetings, promoting best practice

Essential criteria

  • Degree educated in a related subject area
  • 3+ years sharepoint experience
  • working knowledge of Power Apps including Power Automate and Power Bi.
  • experience and advanced knowledge of MS Access, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
