Job Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our clients presence in the Build to Rent market. Your primary responsibility will be to drive new business by building relationships with key stakeholders, identifying opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions. Operating remotely, you will enjoy the flexibility to manage your sales pipeline while achieving ambitious revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new clients within the Build to Rent market, including property developers, investors, and operators.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers in the sector.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and OTE goals.
  • Product Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of [Company Name]'s offerings and their application within the Build to Rent sector.
  • Tailored Solutions: Work closely with internal teams to customize products and services to meet client needs.
  • Market Research: Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring consistent progress toward targets.
  • Presentations & Proposals: Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to secure new business.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven Sales Experience: Minimum 3+ years in business development or sales Build to Rent sector selling to local authority.
  • Strong Network: Established relationships or experience working with property developers, investors, or operators in the Build to Rent sector.
  • Target-Driven: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue goals and secure high-value contracts.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Proficient in presenting, negotiating, and building relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Market Expertise: In-depth understanding of the Build to Rent sector and its unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable leveraging CRM systems and other technology tools to manage the sales process.
