The Role:
They are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sole Charge Accountant to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of the accounting function within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly accounts, managing payroll, and handling invoicing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
- Full responsibility for the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Managing invoicing and maintaining accurate records of transactions.
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable.
- Performing bank reconciliations and managing cash flow.
- Liaising with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an SME or owner-managed business.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
