English Teacher

Reed Education is on the lookout for a passionate and dynamic English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Wyre & Fylde area. This long-term role commences in September. The successful candidate will possess a robust knowledge of the English curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging and inspiring learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Delivering English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with the opportunity to teach KS5.
- Preparing lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to the needs of all students.
- Assessing and recording students' progress and providing feedback to foster their academic growth.
- Implementing classroom management strategies to create a focused and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share resources and best teaching practices.
- Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent and relevant experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being advantageous.
- Demonstrated excellence in classroom practice with strong subject knowledge.
- Reliability, commitment, and the ability to act as a positive role model for students.
- Good interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
