  • Test Lab Manager

The Test Lab Manager or Supervisor is a newly created position for a brand new Testing lab that is being set up and will see this person being instrumental in leading the operational activities within our UK Test Lab. This role is crucial for maintaining the precision and reliability of our testing processes, utilising advanced test equipment and methodologies to inspect and report on various components per AS6171 standards. Being a new lab you will be pivotal in helping set this up and then also involved in building the team of Lab Technicians too for the lab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership and management of the test lab processes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to detailed test work instructions and apply consistent methodologies.
  • Coordinate all department communications and activities.
  • Schedule, maintain, and manage documentation for all laboratory work orders.
  • Administer scheduling for all department personnel.
  • Review and approve AS6171 test reports produced by the Test Lab Technician.
  • Conduct device-level testing using specialised test equipment.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Manual dexterity and excellent eyesight (must pass vision and colour blindness tests).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in Quality Control Inspection.
  • Familiarity with AS6171 Non-Destructive and Destructive Testing methods.
  • NAS-410 certification or eligibility based on required experience and training.
  • Previous Electronic Test Lab experience
