Details of the Role:

As an Assistant Accountant/Semi-Senior Accountant, you will:

  • Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, including tax computations and CT600
  • Handle VAT return preparation and management accounts
  • Assist in self-assessment tax returns and audits
  • Support junior staff members and maintain excellent client communication

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account preparation for various entities
  • VAT return preparation and management accounts
  • Self-assessment tax return preparation
  • Aid in audits and mentor junior staff

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone:

  • With prior experience in an accountancy firm or practice
  • Experience of accounts preparation is essential
  • Deadline-oriented, proactive, and a great team player
  • Organised, reliable, and excellent at client communication
  • Proficient in IRIS, Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Excel
