As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and providing support across various areas of the business. Job Title: Office Manager

Location: Centre of Canterbury (Office based)

Salary: £40,000

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Organise, maintain, and monitor HR functions, including staffing, contract documentation, annual reviews, recruitment, and policies.
  • Maintain and monitor finance processes, such as managing accountancy software, liaising with the accountant, payment of invoices, and managing income and aged debt.
  • Organise, maintain, and monitor H&S procedures, including risk assessments, first aid, policies, and liaising with external H&S providers.
  • Monitor and maintain ISO standards and required records, complete annual reviews with QMS, and implement systems and processes with the management team.
  • Line manage admin staff and coordinate events for corporate events with administrative support.
  • Liaise with appropriate staff and consultants for social media and PR activities.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accountancy software (Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of HR and H&S procedures.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards is a plus.
