Novax Recruitment is actively seekign a Category Specialist based in Islington. The position is full time hours on a contract basis.
The job:
- Complete assigned work in procurement and supply, support effective category management at procurement, commissioning and contract stages, undertaking procurement supply work as needed.
- Review category work for goods, works and services, appraise ways forward, develop and plan solutions and track progress, evaluating as needed.
- Identify and utilise the correct procurement and supply guidance, recognising various approaches and adapting as necessary if a more bespoke approach is wanted.
- Develop and input into project planning, market/spend analysis, business cases, impact assessments, specifications, approval/award processes, TUPE needs, internal/external consultation/engagement, adverts, procurement/tender
- documentation/assessment and feedback.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, attending and lead meetings whilst managing workflows, ensuring any issues and problems are assessed and understood/dealt with appropriately.
The candidate:
- Relevant professional/vocational/technical qualification required
- Solid experience in a large organisation including a professional procurement and/or supply environment.
- Experience finding/reviewing guidance and providing advice to remove barriers to participation.
- Relevant project management qualification
- Public sector experience preferred
