Salary: -

£30-35,000 plus bonus commission structure

Location: -

Northwest England- Hybrid working & travel UK & International when required.

Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for PhD Biomedical Science graduate or similar subject to join a diagnostic manufacturing company in the Northwest. This is perfect opportunity for a graduate who has realised that they do not want to pursue a career in the laboratory, but in a commercial/sales environment instead.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the brand- close new commercial opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Build relationships with existing partnership and ensure that their expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Strategic planning, fundraising and grant applications.
  • Build credibility with key stakeholders and ensure credibility with academic partners.
  • Craft project briefs and scoping.
  • Negotiate with clients
  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure successful project delivery and understand their project requirements, regulatory processes and timelines.
  • Setting sales objectives, forecasting and devising targeted marketing initiatives to help attract potential clients from the likes of universities, investors and the diagnostic industry.
  • Drive the brand visibility through strategic marketing which will include social media campaigns, PR activities, conferences and networking events.
  • Stay up to date with market trends and research within the related field.

The Person

  • Educated to PhD level is essential- subject in Biomedical Science or similar.
  • Keen interest in working in a commercial setting as opposed to a lab/research role- commercial experience would be desirable but not essential, a full training program will be provided to help build the sales skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Proven track record of managing complex records and ability to manage multi tasks at once.
  • Happy to travel with the role- UK and overseas
