Accounts Payable Assistant

Location: Dagenham

Annual salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)

The role in a nutshell:

Your mission will be to ensure accurate financial records, provide essential support, and contribute to the smooth operation of our client's finance department.

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial processes and systems. Your exceptional attention to detail and data entry skills will be put to good use as you accurately record and reconcile financial transactions. In addition, your strong analytical abilities will help identify and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Collaboration is key in this organisation, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues from different departments to improve processes and streamline financial operations.

Annual leave during the school holidays is limited to 1 week per year bookable. They also close for two weeks at Christmas. This is due to most work being within schools, during school holidays. The successful applicant must be willing to take a DBS for this role, arranged by the employer.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter and maintain financial data into our system
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense claims
  • Perform reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable activities
  • Support the finance team in ad hoc tasks and projects
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
