- Location: Supported Housing, Furnished Accommodation Division
- Job Type: Full-time, 3-month contract initially.
We are looking for a dedicated Homemaker to join our Supported Housing team. This role is essential in delivering a high-quality housing function to our Temporary Accommodation Service Users and Furnished Accommodation tenants. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our services.
Day to Day of the role:
- Provide exceptional customer care and service.
- Drive various vehicles, including those up to a 7.5-tonne limit.
- Clean properties to a high standard and deliver furniture citywide.
- Fit curtains, poles, tracks, and blinds, as well as perform gardening tasks.
- Assist in the management of stock and handle abandoned furniture.
- Recycle, sanitise, and clean pre-used goods, including upholstery and carpets.
- Collect customer feedback and collate photographic and written evidence to highlight any breach of Tenancy Agreement.
- Conduct P.A.T testing and assist in the safe management of goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Operate a counterbalance forklift truck for pallet stacking.
- Assist in the management of health and safety procedures and perform administrative duties.
- Conduct stock auditing and provide cover for other Supported Housing; Senior Housing Officers and Housing Officers as needed.
- Be willing to attend responsibilities outside normal office hours when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Ability to drive vehicles up to a 7.5-tonne limit (appropriate driving licence required).
- Competence in cleaning and maintaining properties to a high standard.
- Practical skills for fitting curtains and performing minor home repairs.
- Basic gardening skills.
- Experience in stock management and handling goods.
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures.
- Administrative skills and proficiency in stock auditing.
- Forklift truck operation skills (certification may be required).
- Flexibility to cover for other team members and work outside normal office hours when necessary.
