Job Title: Registered Manager - Children's Residential

Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Birmingham

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Responsibly manage daily operations of a children's residential home
  • Oversee and ensure high-quality care is provided to children and young people
  • Lead and support a team of staff, providing guidance and direction
  • Create and implement care plans that adhere to regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure the well-being of residents

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Registered with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Ofsted)
  • Proven experience in a similar managerial role within children's residential care
  • Experience with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior role within children's residential care
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in safeguarding, risk assessment, and therapeutic approaches
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex needs

Working Conditions:

  • Regular office hours with occasional evening and weekend work required
  • Work primarily based within the children's residential home setting
  • May involve some travel for meetings, training, or networking events
