A prestigious company is seeking a Vehicle Crime Specialist to join their dynamic Information Technology Division, based in Dunton. This role offers a competitive umbrella hourly rate of £29.52-£35/65/hr (Inside IR35), along with the chance to work on groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of vehicle security.

What You Will Do:

  • Assess vehicle designs for resistance to theft.
  • Conduct physical theft attacks and maintain, author, and track program requirements through to release.
  • Organise design reviews with a Physical theft/security expert for signoff.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Thatcham requirements, physical vehicle attacks, lock picking, and electronic attacks.
  • Utilise mechanical proficiency and diagnostic awareness in daily tasks.
  • Engage in potential travel opportunities to Germany, Romania, Turkey, or the USA for project requirements.

What You Will Bring:

  • Extensive experience in tackling vehicle crime, stolen vehicle examination, and working with insurance agents and vehicle / component ID.
  • Strong understanding of the IG rating system and Thatcham requirements, physical vehicle attacks, lock picking, electronic attacks etc.
  • Mechanical proficiency and diagnostic awareness.
  • Experience with dealer-level diagnostics and CAD proficiency is preferred but not essential. Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostics tools and processes.
  • An Engineering Degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for an MSc in a related subject.
  • Customer-centric mindset and ability to build customer relationships

Location:

The role is based in Dunton, offering a vibrant working environment and the opportunity to be part of a highly skilled and motivated team. This is a predominantly in-person workshop and office-based role with attendance on site expected at least 2 days per week (more frequently when testing / support / collaboration is required).
