Job Title: Training Centre Manager
Location: Mitcham, Surrey
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, based on experience

About the Role
As the Training Centre Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Operations to oversee and develop the centre's offerings, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and learner satisfaction. Your leadership will be key in guiding staff, coordinating with referral partners, and achieving the centre's mission while meeting financial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Centre Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth processes and addressing the needs of learners and staff. Report directly to the Director of Operations on centre performance.
- Referral Coordination: Collaborate with referral partners, including Job Centre Plus and learner-finder organisations, to ensure learner inductions, DBS checks, and ongoing support are conducted efficiently.
- Contract Management: Work with the Operations Manager to meet start profiles and achievement targets under various contracts.
- Staff and Learner Coordination: Ensure Tutor/Assessors are scheduled for all classes, handle necessary paperwork, and maintain learner files. Track learner progress monthly, ensuring tutors submit reports on time.
- Quality Assurance: Lead audits, quality-assure all centre activities, and prepare for External Verifier (EV) visits to uphold the centre's standards.
- Team Management: Plan, allocate, and assess staff activities to optimise centre productivity, fostering positive working relationships through clear communication and appropriate procedures.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Actively participate in the management team, exchanging information, solving problems, and driving centre development in alignment with organisational goals.
What You'll Bring
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing or supervising a training centre, educational institution, or similar facility.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to plan, manage, and evaluate multiple responsibilities and staff effectively, ensuring all centre operations run smoothly.
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build positive relationships with staff, partners, and learners.
- Compliance Focus: Knowledge of compliance standards in education or training environments, with experience in audits and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work as part of a management team, fostering a cooperative and supportive atmosphere that drives success.
