Our client is seeking a talented Mid-Level Java Developer to join their dynamic Engineering team. This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days a week onsite and 3-4 days remote, depending on project requirements. You'll be working on large-scale Government projects, offering an exciting opportunity for growth, learning, and development.
This position requires the successful candidate to undergo SC Clearance. While existing clearance is a plus, it is not mandatory. British Citizenship is required to apply for clearance.
Key Skills:
- Strong back-end development experience, primarily Java (Python also considered)
- Front-end development skills, ideally with React, JavaScript, or Angular
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Understanding of DevOps practices
- Familiarity with software containerization technologies like Docker
- A proactive approach to documentation and API development
- Experience in Scaled Agile environments (desirable but not required)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust back-end and front-end components for web applications
- Design and implement APIs
- Oversee the configuration and management of DevOps environments
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code while adhering to best practices
