Job description:

We are looking for a Customer Account Manager to join us. As our next Customer Account Manager, you'll be driving the development, agreement, and implementation of a strategic Joint Business Plan. Your remit is to develop and deliver the account objectives and budget within Sainsbury's Desserts and Baking. You will also have responsibility for the profit and loss for JS D&B as part of your remit.

To excel in this role, you'll need to be commercially aware, with fact-based selling and collaborative negotiation as key skills for this position. This role requires an individual who is a creative thinker, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working cross-functionally at all levels.

This role would really suit somebody who is agile, able to work with a team of dedicated individuals, leading them to success. For this role, we're keen to bring in someone who is able to champion fresh ideas.

The Key Requirements...

  • Build Category Joint Business Plans on Sainsbury's D&B, delivering on internal and external objectives.
  • Manage, measure and improve Premier and customer profitability.
  • Maintain and update annual account plans to deliver corporate objectives.
  • Drive the accuracy and delivery of monthly sales forecasts - working with supply chain, forecasting and finance
  • Negotiate and deliver promotional programmes, ensuring promotions are communicated, within guidelines, forecasted, delivered and then evaluated in a timely manner.
  • Work with Marketing and Category to close distribution gaps and deliver New Product Launch plans (distribution, display, turnover targets)
  • Work with Category and Marketing to drive Customer range review delivery, and post review evaluation and future recommendations (specific to channel, i.e. Main Estate, Convenience and Online)

As a Customer Account Manager, you have strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working cross-functionally at all levels, and you would thrive on creative thinking and building winning relationships.
