Salary: £27.99 per hour PAYE / £34.87 per hour Umbrella

Contract Type: Temporary. Temp to Perm opportunities available

Our client, a prominent public sector organisation based in Barking, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join their team.

This role will deliver high quality operational and professional QA and auditing oversight to Social Care and Early Help colleagues, to directly influence and support the practice improvements.

  • Lead and undertake qualitative audits of practice within the Social Care department, effectively supporting and challenging the operational teams to consistently drive social care standards forward, as well as provide moderation of the quality of audits to ensure accuracy and the identification of strengths and learning
  • Produce clear written and oral feedback of good practice and areas of development, writing reports on finding and presenting these to varying audiences of managers and practitioners, as well as deliver training in relation to audit activity
  • Work closely with the QA Officers and the Principal Social Worker to identify and highlight areas of audit activity where concerns or practice alerts have been raised
  • Be the QA expert in driving practice improvements within the CARES academy offer, ensuring QA activity is aligned to, and support key CARES academy objectives
  • Deliver presentations and workshops to social work teams and partner agencies on QA and auditing findings
  • Deliver training and guidance to managers who undertake audits
  • Develop action plans following individual audits and provide critical input or lead in formulation of plans to support teams or service areas to address audit and quality assurance findings

What are we looking for?

  • You will have a strong QA and auditing background in social care
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to write detailed and clear reports on audit findings and QA activity
  • Experience of quality assurance and undertaking audits
  • Ability to lead single or multiagency thematic auditing activity
  • Ability to undertake observations of individuals or group work practice
  • Experience of Ofsted grading and evaluation criteria as well as clear view about what Good looks like in terms of practice standards and inspection
