**Position: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Role Overview:

As an HLTA, you'll work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to provide individualised support to students with diverse needs. Your passion for education and your caring nature will contribute to creating an inclusive and empowering learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and Keyworker: Act as a mentor and keyworker for vulnerable students across all age groups. Build essential relationships with students and their families.
  • Comprehensive Support: Provide high-quality support in the classroom, during one-on-one sessions, and in small groups. Deliver interventions such as numeracy and literacy support.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain appropriate records of mentoring sessions and measure the impact of your support using relevant tools.
  • Collaboration: Along with the team, maintain positive relationships with students' families.
  • Whole-School HLTA Role: Cover lessons and registration for absent colleagues, support students in Compass (our learning platform), and contribute to preventing underachievement.
  • Promote Inclusion: Be a positive role model, uphold policies and procedures, and ensure an ethos of learning and care across the school.
