The Opportunity
It's an exciting time to join us as our business grows. We have just moved into brand-new innovative offices in Leeds city centre right next to the train station, and we currently have a new opportunity for a User Experience & Conversion Rate Optimisation Specialist to join our team in Leeds (3 days in the office / 2 days working from home).
This exciting opportunity supports our division, who offer a range of products including professional indemnity, public liability, employers liability, D&O, property, occupational personal accident, legal representation and employment cover, and cyber.
Our distribution channels fall into 3 key categories; through direct to consumer channels (online or via our UK call centre), through our white label introducer network, and through providing API integrations to Insurtechs and broker platforms.
We operate through two retail brands, and have ambitious growth plans. We are investing heavily in marketing activity to grow our lead volume and sales, and this is an opportunity for a talented UX/CRO individual to take ownership of driving optimisation initiatives forward and make a significant impact on business results.
What you'll be doing:
- Optimise the online journey to deliver increased conversion rates
- Analyse user journeys using insights and analytics tools to make data-driven recommendations for improving the user journey, through identifying funnel drop off points and friction areas
- Develop a conversion rate optimisation roadmap outlining key initiatives, prioritised by impact, confidence of success and ease of implementation
- Lead user research sessions to understand users' behaviour, thoughts and feelings about the online journey
- Develop wireframes and clickable prototypes of proposed changes to landing pages and quote and buy system, and lead user testing to validate solutions
- Write clear briefs and work closely with developers on implementing A/B tests
- Report on outcomes and takeaways of A/B tests to inform future UX/CRO activity
- Collaborate with key partners across Marketing, Operations and Sales
Our must haves:
- Experience working with financial services brands
- A proven track record of improving conversion rates on websites and forms
- Strong analytical skills, including working with Google Analytics and other reporting tools to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Experience using user feedback software (e.g. Mouseflow, HotJar, Sessioncam/Glassbox etc) and inspiring change from the insights gained
- Experience of running A/B tests and reporting on outcomes
- Excellent communications skills, attention to detail and customer focus
- Drive and enthusiasm for meeting deadlines
