Business Development Manager, Property Consultancy

Global, leading Property Consultancy looking for a London-based Business Development Manager to join the Business Development team.

Experience in Business Development required, as is the desire to continue progressing in a Professional Services environment generating new business.

Client Details

Our client are Central London based and specialise in supporting businesses to effectively plan and manage their rates liability, helping to save them money and improve long-term success.

Ratings services offered to B2B clients by our international Property Consultancy client include: Rateable Value Appeal (bill determination), Property Usage Review, Account Management and Forensic Audits (a service our client has offered to businesses since 1990).

Description

  • To be the primary contact between our client and prospective clients to communicate the range of services offered developing the relationship and the clients awareness of them. Maintain contact with a view to enhance the corporate image of our client until such time as the client accepts the offer of our client's services
  • To liaise with key internal stakeholder across the wider business to maximise profitability through a strategic approach to creating "Sticky Clients"
  • Using industry knowledge and experience to negotiate the maximum potential fee percentage acceptable to our client and their clients
  • Assist in identifying potential fee earning opportunities and demonstrations of the range of services & products
  • To build and maintain existing relationships with the client base in order to secure rating instructions and develop long term agreements to achieve your monthly targets
  • To obtain all relevant rating records and account details readily available from clients for the purpose of the rating instruction. A stringent Quality Control process is used to qualify a prospective target client to ensure the sale will benefit the objectives of the Rating Department
  • To update the Salesforce CRM accurately and on a timely basis to help progress the sales order process with each prospective client and issue template documents to the client as required. Ensure that precise details of the relevant properties, restrictions and agreements are recorded clearly
  • To attend & lead Sales meetings with potential clients where considered necessary
  • Ensure through continual training and performance appraisals that you understand the company's products and services and any fundamental changes or developments to these
  • To attend and contribute to regular business development meetings with the BD Director and actively work as part of a team to help develop best practice and innovative ways of working within a changing & demanding customer base
  • Responsible for your daily, weekly & monthly review of the KPI suite and ensure these targets are exceeded on a regular basis

Profile

  • Our client is looking for a self motivated and energetic individual to join a growing team who will become a pivotal part of the sales function in London
  • Ideally you will have previous experience in sales and have the ability to adapt your approach and processes to the changing demands of the industry & strategic objectives of the business
  • This is NOT essential, but ideally you will have some understanding of the Property industry and specifically Business Rates - you will like the idea of joining a business where this is the Service Offering
  • You will enjoy building long term relationships with a varied customer base
  • You will have the ability to influence at all levels from board through to administrator
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication abilities
  • Salesforce experience is preferrable but not essential - it's a big plus!!

Job Offer

Our client is looking to pay c.£35-42k dependant on experience with an incredibly lucrative commission scheme that will be explained in full when we speak.
