Job Title: DC Night Shift Team Leader
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Hours: Sunday – Thursday – 8pm – 4am
Pay: £29,000 per year - £4,100 per year shift allowance
A Warehouse Team leader is responsible for overseeing daily Warehouse operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Strong communication and Leadership and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Skills Required:
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Picking and packing goods
- Ensure a safe working environment as required by the health and safety policy within the company
- Providing cover for the night shift supervisors or the night shift administrator In the event of their absence
- Receipt and put away of stock
- Prioritise the building and creating of picking plans
- Reach / counterbalance license required
Responsibility Required:
- Promote and adhere to health and safety requirements
- Reporting faults and damages
- Housekeeping duties
- Lead and train a team of operatives to ensure they pick orders accurately and promptly
- Assist night shift management to prioritize workload
- Assure the team are checking in and out of MHE equipment prior to usw
- Monitor performance of operatives and retrain if / when needed
- Monitoring attendance, property damage, picking accuracy, pick rates and RIDDOR accidents
