Looking to gain an entry level role within a major engineering company?Attega Group is currently partnering with our client in recruiting a Yards Personto join the team.
The main purpose of this role is to Assist with controlling all aspects of the wash facility, including production, maintenance and standing-in to wash machines as necessary.
Reporting to the Yard Foreman your responsibilities will include:
- Assist with controlling all aspects of the wash facility, including production, maintenance and standing-in to wash machines as necessary.
- Assist with managing all loading and unloading of our clients and their customers equipment, including checking delivery notes to ensure all equipment is signed for and when returned is accounted for.
- Assist with photographing equipment before loading and after unloading.
- Assist with visually inspecting equipment on return and report any apparent damaged or missing items immediately to the Yard Controller and Service Manager.
- Assist with ensuring all equipment is thoroughly cleaned inside and out, including touching up scratches on paintwork as necessary prior to being stored.
- Assist with ensuring all equipment is stored tidily in the appropriate designated area.
- Maintain good housekeeping throughout the whole premises, including all waste skips, clearing litter and leaves, regular sweeping and operating the road sweeper.
- Assist with managing the removal of all waste in a timely fashion, including waste oils.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery as necessary.
- Assist in the paint/prep workshop if and when necessary. Health and Safety
- Work to health and safety regulations, risk assessments and safe working procedures at all times. Ensure all activities comply with safe working procedures. General
The ideal candidate:
- Will be physically fit, due to the nature of the role
- Preferably hold a Forklift license and/or a slinger/Banksman certificate
